A sound journey (gong bath) : Wash away your stress and everything that is not serving you with a relaxing sound bath. Feel the healing power of the Tibetan bowls, the gong, chimes, rain stick and ocean drum, bring you on a deep journey inwards, referred to as the Ultimate Relaxation Experience.

Conscious dance is a form of dance in which the dancers, sometimes without the need to follow specific steps, abandon themselves to the rhythm and move freely as the music takes them, leading to trance and a feeling of ecstasy.

Cacao plant medicine and vibrational sound journey work together to create deep, positive shifts in body, mind, and spirit.

Cacao is known as “The Food of Gods” which helps us connect with our hearts. Cacao is a powerful plant medicine that has been used ceremonially for thousands of years across Central and South America. Cacao gives us clarity by enabling us to hear our own inner answers, helps shift emotional blockages and let go of past experiences. It also helps us to re-align with who we really are and get us back on track.

The cacao helps to take us out of the logical chattering mind and drop down into the heart centre, helping us to reconnect with our own deep inner guidance.

We will begin by silently setting our intentions for the ceremony, being clear about your intention will help cacao to work her magic with you.

We will mindfully make and drink the Cacao, experiencing it’s warmth and presence in the body and you will then lie down to be bathed in relaxing, therapeutic vibrations from the gong and other instruments as the cacao does her healing work. There is nothing for you to do as you take an inner journey.

NOTE:

The Cacao is most effective on an empty stomach, so please only a very LIGHT snack within an hour of the ceremony time.

Avoid dairy on this day, as it inhibits the effects of the cacao.

Please arrive at least 10 mins ahead of time.

DISCLAIMER: Sound therapy may not be recommended for people with epilepsy, pacemaker, and in the first trimester of pregnancy.

Certain anti-depressants are contra-indicated with the tyramine in cacao, so we recommend checking your meds first. MAOI based anti-depressants are contra-indicated with chocolate, so a larger dose of cacao is not recommended. MAOI based anti-depressants are first generation anti-depressants and are less common these days.

Serious heart conditions. The theobromine in cacao increases heart rate and is a vasodilator, lowering blood pressure. If you have a heart condition, consider consulting a physician and certainly go lighter on amounts.

Pregnancy & breastfeeding. Like coffee or tea, it is important to reduce the intake of stimulating foods. The theobromine in cacao, which is very similar to caffeine, has a stimulating effect. We recommend using lower dosages. .

The dance floor and meditation area is a non-verbal space

We join together to create a safe and sacred space for movement. Eliminating talking on the dance floor allows us to move out of our heads and to drop deeper into our bodies, hearts, and souls.

Communication is only by movement. If you feel the need to chat find a space outside to do so.

The dance floor is a place of respect and safety Ecstatic Dance has been created as a safe space, whether we’re dancing alone or with others.

Ecstatic Dance is contact-friendly, but keep in mind that we all have different levels of comfort when it comes to being approached and touched. Please be mindful and make sure the way you approach other dancers resonate with them. If somebody offers you a shared dance and you are not interested, simply give them a bow with hands at your heart to say, “no thank you”.

Dancing with others:

– Listen for a Yes (get eye contact first)

– Respect any no (like when they are ignoring you)

– Respect the Solo Dancers’ Right to their Space -hands in prayer at heart means: „ I see you, and thank you for the dance (that just ended) or a “no thank you”.

Please keep the dance floor free from, talking, shoes, photos, videos, and scents.

This is a Drug & Alcohol-Free Space
